2020 - wow. Not the year any of us expected to say

2020 - wow. Not the year any of us expected to say the least. As I look back on the year I wanted to focus on the positives instead of the negatives. So swipe for 10 of my favorite moments of this year:

1. Getting dressed up with Matt to take our “day we didn’t say I do” pictures with our incredible wedding photographer @ashleyraephotography

10/10/2020. The day I keep referring to as “the Day We Didn’t Say I Do”. We had this date picked out for our wedding in December 2017 - a year and a half before we got engaged. Matt told me about it while we were on a cruise and why he thought it was perfect, I agreed! Never in a million years did I think we wouldn’t be having our dream wedding on that date due to a global pandemic. I have 0 regrets in our decision to postpone, I know it was the right call. And I’m so glad we took these photos on our original date. It gave me an excuse to dress up in something other than comfy clothes, we got to go on a little adventure, and Matt had me smiling like this all day long! This is one of my absolute favorite pictures @ashleyraephotography captured that day 😍 it shows how even though I could have been sad all day about how we weren’t having our wedding like we planned, we still made the best of it! Funny story: we weren’t supposed to take picture

Funny story: we weren’t supposed to take pictures at El Matador Beach for our second outfit. As we were driving to the state park for them @ashleyraephotography told us we had to make sure we watched where we were walking for rattlesnakes and we’d have to check each other for ticks once we were done shooting.
