Give me a romper with off the shoulder detailing and I’ll be the happiest camper!
It’s finally hump day which means we are halfway through to the weekend! I’m not sure why, but this feels like its already the longest week ever. My first outfit from my vacation to surprise my grandparents for their 60th wedding anniversary was this little off the shoulder number. If you’ve been following me for a little bit, you know my romper obsession is all too real! The second I saw this romper online I knew I HAD to have it. I literally stalked my mailbox our waiting for this baby to arrive. I did not want to go to Florida without it packed in my suitcase, which is why its a little bit wrinkled.
Off the shoulder tops are a major trend right now, and I think they are going to stay around for a while. So when you add that kind of detailing to a romper, you pretty much can guarantee that it’ll end up in my shopping cart and in my mailbox 3-5 business days later. I love that this romper has vertical stripes. I’m not a fan of wearing horizontal stripes because I believe it makes even the absolute skinniest of people look fat. The vertical stripes elongate the look of my petite frame and make for a nice pattern on the romper itself.
For my shoes I went for my favorite black peep toe booties from Chinese Laundry’s Kristin Cavallari collection. I was on vacation so I did not bring any closed toed shoes with me (minus the sneakers I wore on the plane because my toes always freeze when I travel). The slouched look at the top of these booties give them a uniqueness I just cannot get enough of! They also come in grey, nude, and camel. You can also wear them with jeans or a dress or skirt. See how I styled them with jeans in my multi-purpose plaid post. My sunglasses are naturally my current rented sunnies from Ditto’s endless eyewear program and I don’t foresee myself exchanging them anytime soon!
