Happy Tuesday dolls! I’m so sorry this post wasn’t up yesterday :/. The weekend was crazy. Matt’s mom got here last week on Wednesday, then Matt got sick (anyone else’s man act like a complete baby when they’re sick too?!) and so I had to take care of him while making sure his Mom had a good time here. Of course his mom then caught whatever Matt had so it was a cluster lol. By some miracle I didn’t catch whatever sickness they had. Woo! Now onto this fall outfit that pretty much will be my fall uniform!
I like to fill my closet with basic pieces that I can mix and match to create several different outfits without being too repetitive. This is one of the looks I’ve put together! I got this fun wine colored top at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I like that its a basic piece but has a little extra something with the criss cross detail in the front. I never thought I’d ever be able to pull off the wine color/burgundy. I didn’t think I had the coloring for it. But I fell in love when I saw this top and quickly added it to my shopping cart! It is a perfect color for fall!
Skinny jeans are a must have and pretty much the only kind of jeans I own, so it was no brainer that I paired the top with skinny jeans. I opted for a darker wash to contrast with the color of the top. These jeans are Joe’s jeans. They’re amazing because they have a little bit of stretch to them, but not too much that they don’t fit the same way at the end of the day. Major win in my book!
Over the knee boots are a staple in my wardrobe for fall and winter. I seriously live in them! I opted for my black OTK boots for this look but could have easily also paired it with my taupe ones. My black and taupe boots are the exact same shoe, I just loved them so much that I had to get multiple colors! They’re extremely comfortable and make a statement. The first time my mom saw them she was like “Whoa I need these, they’re hot!” Thanks Mom :). In order to block out the sun, I just wore my classic Ray Ban aviators.
